What Is the Wyoming ESA Program?
The Wyoming Education Savings Account (ESA) program was created by the Steamboat Legacy Scholarship Act and is administered by the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE). Participating families receive state education funds in a secure digital wallet managed through Odyssey, the program's Marketplace platform.
Eligible K–12 students: $7,000 per year
Available for approved educational expenses, including curriculum and instructional materials — no income
limit for K–12 families.
Homeschool families qualify
Under Wyoming law, homeschools are classified as private schools, so ESA funds can be used to build a
homeschool's curriculum and electives.
Funds aren't cash
All purchases happen inside the official Wyoming ESA Marketplace (Odyssey). Purchases made outside it are
not reimbursed unless pre-approved by WDE's ESA Finance Manager in advance.
Curriculum counts
Approved expenses include curriculum, instructional materials, and career-readiness programs — exactly
where Boss Kid Build fits.
For official program details, visit edu.wyoming.gov.
Real Curriculum, Not a Toy
Why Boss Kid Build Qualifies
- CTE-aligned — built by a certified Career & Technical Education educator with an MBA.
- Standards-aligned — see our State Standards Alignment Library for Wyoming documentation.
- Written curriculum in visual form — printable student workbooks and parent guides that fit squarely within Wyoming homeschool expectations.
- A complete 8-kit sequence — from Find Your Big Idea to Lead & Level Up, taking students through Discover → Build → Launch → Grow.
Step by Step
How to Buy Boss Kid Build with Wyoming ESA Funds
-
Log in to your Odyssey account
Go to your Odyssey parent portal — the same place you completed your Wyoming ESA application — and open your student's wallet to confirm your available balance.
-
Open the Wyoming ESA Marketplace
From your dashboard, click into the Marketplace. This is the only place Wyoming ESA funds can be spent directly.
-
Search for "Boss Kid Build"
We're an approved Education Service Provider and are actively adding our full kit catalog to the Marketplace. If a kit you want isn't listed yet, reach out — we're rolling out titles now.
-
Check out with your ESA wallet
Your purchase is paid directly from your student's ESA balance — nothing comes out of your pocket, and there's no reimbursement paperwork.
-
Receive your kit digitally
You'll receive your printable Student Workbook and Parent Guide by email. Print at home and your Boss Kid can start the same week.
-
Save your confirmation
Odyssey tracks your purchase history automatically, but we recommend keeping your order confirmation with your homeschool records.
💡 Boss Parent Tip: Your $7,000 Wyoming ESA award covers a lot of ground. At $9 per kit, the complete Boss Kid Build series uses only a small slice of your award while covering an entire year of entrepreneurship learning.

Wyoming ESA Quick FAQ
Do I have to buy through the Marketplace?
Yes. Wyoming ESA funds can only be spent inside the official Odyssey Marketplace, or through a pre-approved
reimbursement. If you purchase directly from bosskidbuild.com, you cannot be reimbursed with ESA funds
unless you've received written pre-approval from WDE's ESA Finance Manager first.
Can I still buy directly from your website?
Absolutely! Families not using ESA funds can purchase any kit right here at bosskidbuild.com with instant
digital delivery.
I don't see Boss Kid Build in the Marketplace yet — what do I do?
We're an approved Wyoming ESA vendor and are actively uploading our kits to the Marketplace now. If a title
you want isn't showing yet, contact us and we'll let you know when it's live —
or help you request it.
Is the Wyoming ESA program actually up and running?
Yes. After litigation temporarily paused the program, the Wyoming Supreme Court lifted the injunction and
the state is moving forward with 2026–27 funding. Always confirm current status and deadlines at
edu.wyoming.gov.
I have an ESA in another state — can I use it?
Possibly! Boss Kid Build is an approved vendor in both the Texas TEFA Marketplace and the Wyoming ESA
Marketplace, and we're working to join additional state ESA programs. In the meantime, every kit is
available for direct purchase right here at bosskidbuild.com.
Does Boss Kid Build meet Wyoming homeschool expectations?
Our kits are written curriculum in visual (printable) form and support skills like reading, writing, and
math through real-world business projects. They're designed to complement — not replace — your core
curriculum, and they shine as your CTE/electives component.
Your funds are loaded. Your Boss Kid is ready. 💛
Not sure whether a kit qualifies, or can't find us in the Marketplace yet? We'll help you sort it out.
