Oklahoma Standards Alignment

How the Boss Kid Build 8-Kit Series maps to Oklahoma CareerTech entrepreneurship instruction.

Boss Kid Build is a pre-CTE entrepreneurship curriculum for learners ages 8–12 (grades 3–6), designed as the on-ramp to high school Career & Technical Education. Every kit develops competencies that align with entrepreneurship instruction delivered through Oklahoma CareerTech's Business, Marketing & Information Technology Education (BMITE) division.

Oklahoma's BMITE courses are built on MBA Research national instructional-area standards and sit within the Marketing and Business Management & Administration clusters (CIP 52.0701). The crosswalk below maps each kit to those courses and instructional areas.

Where Entrepreneurship Lives in Oklahoma

Marketing Cluster — Marketing Management Pathway: Marketing Fundamentals, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and the Marketing Entrepreneur program area (OCAS 9795).

Business Management & Administration Cluster: Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurship: Business Development, Entrepreneurship: Business Management, and Advanced Entrepreneurship (OCAS 9206 & 9207).

MBA Research Instructional Areas: The competency backbone of BMITE courses — Entrepreneurship (EN), Marketing (MK), Promotion (PR), Selling (SE), Pricing (PI), Financial Analysis (FI), Economics (EC), Emotional Intelligence (EI), and Professional Development (PD).

Industry Certifications: Courses culminate in the Certiport Entrepreneurship & Small Business (ESB) certification and Precision Exams by YouScience, with BPA and DECA as the aligned CTSOs.

A Note on Alignment Level

Boss Kid Build introduces these instructional areas at an age-appropriate, awareness-and-application level for ages 8–12. Oklahoma's secondary courses carry them to mastery and certification. The alignment reflects prerequisite readiness — the concepts and habits that let students arrive in BMITE entrepreneurship courses already fluent in the language of business.
