Nebraska Standards Alignment
How the Boss Kid Build 8-Kit Series maps to Nebraska's CTE entrepreneurship standards.
Boss Kid Build is a pre-secondary, CTE-adjacent digital entrepreneurship curriculum for learners ages 8–12 (grades 3–6). It builds the vocabulary, mindsets, and habits students need to succeed in high school Career & Technical Education. Every kit develops competencies that align with the entrepreneurship instruction delivered through the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) Career & Technical Education programs.
Nebraska offers an Entrepreneurship program of study within its Business, Marketing & Management (BMM) career field, defined by coded BMM.HS standards that are crosswalked to Nebraska's Academic Standards and Career Readiness Standards. Students develop a comprehensive business plan addressing the financial, marketing, and operational aspects of a venture. This document maps each Boss Kid Build kit to those standards.
Where Entrepreneurship Lives in Nebraska
Business, Marketing & Management (BMM) Career Field: One of Nebraska's six career fields; houses the Entrepreneurship program of study.
Entrepreneurship Program of Study: A sequence (Introduction to Business, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship) in which students develop a comprehensive business plan addressing finance, marketing, and operations.
BMM.HS Standards: Coded course standards — e.g., BMM.HS.16.1 (business formation and the opportunities/risks of entrepreneurship), 16.2 (economic systems), 16.4 (marketing strategies), 16.6 (business operations) — crosswalked to Nebraska Academic and Career Readiness Standards.
Career Readiness Standards & CTSOs: Nebraska's employability standards, developed with the National Career Clusters Framework; FBLA and DECA are the aligned CTSOs.
Kit-by-Kit Alignment
Each kit maps to the Nebraska course, cluster, or standard it most directly prepares students for. Boss Kid Build is pre-secondary and functions as a CTE on-ramp, not a replacement for Nebraska's approved courses.

A Note on Alignment Level
Boss Kid Build introduces these standards at an age-appropriate, awareness-and-application level for ages 8–12. Nebraska's secondary program of study carries them to mastery. The alignment reflects prerequisite readiness — the concepts and habits that let students arrive in Nebraska's Entrepreneurship program already fluent in the language of business.
